Relaxing COLORADO RENTALS
Celebrate July 4, 2024 in Vail, Colorado
Although Vail is renowned for its world-class skiing, it transforms into a lively summer destination. The excitement peaks during the Fourth of July! Here's what you can expect this holiday:
10:00 a.m. – Noon | 4th of July Parade:
Kick off your Independence Day with Vail's annual Fourth of July Parade, the largest in the region! The parade starts promptly at 10:00 a.m., but we recommend arriving by 9:30 a.m. for the best views. The route begins at Golden Peak, moves through Vail Village, crosses the International Bridge, and finishes at Lionshead around noon. Don your most patriotic attire and bring your enthusiasm!
Stay Cool between Activities:
On a hot summer day, cooling down is essential. Head to the high alpine or stay near the water to beat the heat. Take a scenic gondola ride to the top of Vail Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views. Explore the extensive network of trails, ranging from easy walks to challenging hikes. Look out for vibrant wildflowers and abundant wildlife. If you prefer staying low, Gore Creek offers refreshing waterways perfect for fly fishing, wading, or relaxing by the water's edge. For more excitement, try paddleboarding or kayaking on nearby rivers.
2:00 p.m. | Concert by Dallas Symphony Orchestra:
At 2:00 p.m., enjoy a performance by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, benefiting the Vail Veterans Program.
Unique Cuisine:
After a day in the summer sun, visit one of the many restaurants in Vail and Lionshead villages. Both MidVail and Eagles Nest offer new menu options this summer. Indulge your sweet tooth with a sundae at Simba's Café.
9:45 p.m. | The Grand Finale Vail's Firework Show:
No Fourth of July celebration is complete without fireworks. Head to Golden Peak in the evening to enjoy a spectacular fireworks show against the stunning backdrop of Vail's front side (conditions permitting).
